Loop du Jour
Here is a loop of the Winter Olympics. The content of this loop changes everyday, so please keep it running.

The pictures in the loop are from Getty Images. They are some of the best action shots I've ever seen--although I'm from Hawaii, so what do I know about winter sports. :-)

Guy:
I agree with Dan Kravman. Love your site and downloaded film loop because it looked cool. Now it pops up every time I sign on to the internet. Shouldn't you (they)ask permission or warn me that this would be a result of the download? I don't think Seth would call that permission marketing.

Hey Guy: Great loop. Who takes home the hockey gold?
What about the Canadian Womens hockey team, they won 16-0, 13-0. Should there be a mercy rule in place. By nature these athletes want to compete all the time but it must be tough to play hard without totally embarrasing the other team.

Do you think Sasha Cohen and Shaun "The Flying Tomato" White are going to hook up?

Guy, I love your site, I respect you, but that "loop" service of yours needs serious fixing.
The damn player for Windows started residing in my system tray after installing! This is very bad, and it's plain arrogance from the developers.
The interface locks when downloading the movie.
And not least, you need to think really hard about this and change the name of the service. C'mon, "loop" sucks. :(

Judging by what's on Guy's web page, it would appear that FilmLoop for the web is coming. Interesting.

Doug,
I'd say about 50%. It's just that much harder for all involved for an early-stage VC to work as it should with a company that's far away.
Thanks,
Guy

Guy, in % wise what would you say is the decreased chance of getting funding from Garage if the company is based on the East Coast?

Raza,
Generally speaking, we only invest in US companies. In fact, we focus on West Coast companies too.
Thanks,
Guy

"...what do I know about winter sports?"
Says "the best fifty-year-old, transplanted Hawaiian, beginner ice hockey player in Silicon Valley."
Of course, with all those qualifiers, maybe you don't know much.

Guy ,
Just totally irrelevant of this post, does garage invests in companies totally based outside US ?
