I try to avoid downloads whenever possible.
I don't get why filmloop has to be a download. Why can't it be a server-side app that I can subscribe to using RSS?
Possible compromise: A Firefox add-on.

Dima, Why don't you use flickr and RSS or tell them to use a widget from Konfabulator or Apple

I've tried to use FilmLoop to spread among my friends pictures found on the net (I was using email for that), but unfortunately it's hard to push people to install new software, and it's even harder to push them to use it :(
So I had to return to emails. I wonder if you think about email notifications, either manual or automatic, to all people subscribed to my feeds? This way they don't have to use the software, they can just look at those pictures at your webpage (along with the ads, of course)...
