Online Seminar about Networking (as in schmoozing, not Ethernet)

Pond Cover
Raindance Communications is putting on another free seminar. This time it's Darcy Rezac, the author of Work the Pond! Use the Power of Positive Networking to Leap Forward in Work and Life.

Wednesday, April 12th 12 pm to 1 pm EDT

Here's a description:

Studies show that a majority of people don't enjoy networking even though building and maintaining relationships is absolutely essential to business success and yes, even personal happiness. Networking expert Darcy Rezac will introduce you to the art of Positive Networking: discovering what you can do for someone else.

  • How do I approach perfect, and not-so-perfect, strangers?
  • How do I avoid the “toads” by using Network Rule Number 7?
  • How do I escape the “cone of silence” at any dinner table?
  • How can I make any conversation catch fire?
  • How can I introduce myself to 100 or 400 people?
  • How can I to find the time to network?
  • Where do I find new ponds?

Macintosh users are probably going to fail the browser check. Ignore all the warnings and keep slogging ahead. Mac users were able to view my Raindance seminars.

Hi Guy, I just "attended" the online conference you recommended here. It was really helpful. Us techy types aren't the best at meeting new people and networking, so I've come away with some great ideas to expand my network.

Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself :D
I'm an entrepreneur based in Spain. Currently I run a web development consultancy www.peteboucher.com . I'm also starting up a Wireless Internet service provider www.airedwifi.com , our mission statement is "Internet access anywhere", we feel that everyone can benefit from ubiquitous broadband coverage. Do you know how to find your nearest wi-fi hotspot?

Hello everybody, I want to make friend with you. Nice to meet you.

Here is a link to a manifesto on the subject in ChangeThis site: http://www.changethis.com/21.CareFeedingOfNetwork

Normally any thing offered free may not be valued properly by the receiver. That is the way one normally reacts. Despie this, the efforts of Darcy Rezac are worth emulating!

I invite you and the enlightened surfers to visit my website geocities.com/guru_raghavan

Not to be picky, but I think you mean "12 pm to 1 pm EDT." Thanks!
