eBay Live!

Just got back from eBay Live. Quite an experience. Talk about evangelistic people—I haven’t seen this kind of evangelism since the early Macworld Expos. One of the coolest things about this conference is the number of people who are motoring around in “mobility scooters.” On the Internet, nobody cares if you have some physical issues, right?

You can listen to the “Art of Evangelism” speech that I gave. I’ve provided it using Evoca’s cool audio-hosting technology.

Or, you can download the MP3 by clicking here. If nothing else, the folks at TypePad will breath a sigh of relief because I might not blow through my account’s monthly bandwidth limitation by using Evoca’s product. :-)

Here’s a looplet from the first day of the conference. Yes, that’s Kramer and Kawasaki. If you want to see more pictures, just click on the looplet.

Alignment of Interests

  • Kaboodle announced an agreement with eBay to provide MyCollectibles, a new destination through eBay’s site geared toward making it easier for collectors to showcase, discover, and connect with others who share interests. Check out the details here

  • FilmLoop introduced eBay Gallery looplets. These looplets are linked directly to the auction items of eBay sellers, so it provides sellers with a way to showcase their merchandise on any web page or blog, cross promote items, and keep buyers automatically updated on new listings. Check out the details here. This is an example of what “StephinTexas” has for sale.

Comments

This certainly makes a good point. I'd like to see the response of others on this topic. Makes interesting reading.

The quality of sound put me off. In addition, isn't this basically the same talk that you have given somewhere else?

**********************

Luis,

Most people say the quality is good. Must be because of the randomness of connection speed. This is basically the same talk, but that's like saying to Sting, "Isn't Englishman in New York the song you always sing?"

That's what I do.

Guy

Tried to listen but the sound quality was so bad that i stopped though i would really like to to hear your speech. I also tried to download the mp3 which started to play in my iTunes but the quality was as bad as listening on your site. Mine was thumbs-down.

Evoca is neat, but where's the presentation?

In my 8-year-old son's parlance: "Sweet!"

That applies both to Evoca and, most especially, Guy's talk at eBay Live!

Thanks, Guy! Truly inspiring!

Thumbs up for Evcoa!

The talk was the best... the method of deployment using evoca was even better... what a cool ap!

Thats pretty cool..
This does change everything. Blogs themselves kind of got you closer to the person writing the blog because they use their own words..Imagine hearing bloggers emotions when they rant or rave. Imagine ebayers decribing their product with passion and sales pitch. This is getting good!

Thumbs up man! its is really great! Awesome...

I like the filmloop and will probably use it. I haven't however, heard of evoca, pretty sweet technology could use it on my blogs instead of podcasting???

Now if you could just embed affiliate links into the looplets...

I couldn't view an option to vote, but I wanted to give Evcoa a THUMBS-UP on this revolutionary technology. You kids thought email was cool... this changes EVERYTHING!
