4th of July Screensaver

iStock_000000846238Small.gif

In the spirit of the 4th of July, here is a great fireworks screensaver called Skyrocket. Mac version. Windows version. You can see a video of the screensaver here.

The fireworks are rendered in 3D with all sorts of customization. Macintosh users: Be sure to turn on the sound (and tweak other features) by clicking on the Options button under the preview screen in the Desktop & Screen Saver system preference.

Guy, the Skyrocket screen saver and the other 'Really Slick Screensavers' are available on Linux as well, by doing (in Ubuntu, for example) 'apt-get install rss-glx'

This is great Guy! For people who want to see the fireworks in action before deciding to download, I've uploaded a short video capture of the screensaver in action to YouTube:

(Guy, you could also post the YouTube clip in your blog if you prefer.)

Craig,

I just linked to it in the posting. I respect clever ways to build traffic! :-)

Thanks for doing this.

Guy

As it's our 7th wedding anniversary on the fourth, I can use this as the "wake up, it's our anniversary" show!

Thanks...

Jason

The PC version is at :-
