The Art of the Start Conference
Just a reminder: Hope to see you guys at the Garage/SVASE "Art of the Start" event on Wednesday, November 8th.
It’s at the Microsoft Conference Center in Mountain View, California. We’re covering the topics of entrepreneurship, venture capital, product introduction, sales, and marketing. The highlight is a fireside chat with Michael Arrington of TechCrunch. The agenda is here, and you can register online here.
After the Art of the Start conference ends at 3:30 pm, there will be another conference called Launch at 4:30 pm. The purpose of this conference is to showcase exciting tech startups that our panel of experts have selected. Registration is here.
See you soon!

I'm planning to attend the conference, driving 260 miles from Bakersfield, CA. I have a prototype product and I hope to learn more from Guy and others about raising capital and meeting investors. In my honest opinion, it will be worth every penny. Hope to meet some of you there!
- Andrew Michael
P.S. If you're going, be sure to read his book first :-)

Is this conference only of use to startups with Web 2.0 or web-enabled applications? Is there any VC money being invested in software development toolsets or are we just trying to 'push water uphill' in raising funding?
Cheers

Dang, should have checked in sooner on your blog Guy...won't be able to make it due to client meetings (a GOOD thing!) but will check it out via the video afterwards...perhaps next time.
BTW, what is up with The Flyers??????? I have no doubts that the Sharks are in contention this year :-)
Best, Stacy

Guy,
Will this content at the conference be relevant for those of us in the non profit world? Is there a local non profit rate?

I bet it's going to be fun + interesting... Too bad I live in Europe. Any chance of you coming over here for a similar event some day... and I mean continental Europe, not London. Brussels would be great; it's an objective recommendation having nothing to do with the fact that I happen to live there ;-) very central - very nice - good beer - alas, not very high-tech...

Guy,
How come in this day and age there is no live web coverage of your talks. Gives you live web presence while remote audience has a chance to directly ask you questions. It is hard to understand a personality of your kind is not encouraging this.
Please be reachable across the globe but not just for
few.

Gk, are there going to be a video of this conference? If not, than I might just have to register for this event.
Is anybody here going to this conference?
******************
There will be video of the conference. They will be posted a week or so after it.
Thanks,
Guy

I've heard that Tag Jungle will be presenting at launch. It'll be interesting to see how that goes.
