Hey Guy:

Just noted your upcoming event with Woz at the Commonwealth Club.

Tell the world and let it be known that it will be a insightful exploration into the life of a brilliant genius with a great sense of humor at his own expense and pleasure.

I recently had the treat of sitting round the table with him at a book launch breakfast at the Harvard Club of Boston in September.

He is a delightful kick in the ass and an inspiring innovator.

He will bring the house down.

Enjoy a successful event.

Barry

Hi Guy,

thanks for letting us know. I won't make it, unfortunately. Way too far away for a one-evening event. Hope there will be a video recording of your chat with Woz, too.

Enjoy it!

Cheers,
Thomas

This has nothing to do with anything but today's my birthday! Hurray! Oh and Guy, love the blog. It's the only one I read.

Guy,
You know how much I want to see and hear Woz and yourself. Man, I'm in the Midwest and my 62 VW Bus only goes so fast...

To Think Different, is no-mo, www.no-mo.com

With much Respect,

Will you and Woz be discussing this comming change? Matthew Artero User Interface has a new top secret hand-operated-user interface that makes it possible for one hand to enter AND EDIT text in a cell phone faster than typing with two hands on a full size desktop keyboard. The same hand that holds the cell phone operates the interface so only one hand is required. The company states the cell phone will replace the desktop keyboard. When the qwerty keyboard hit the market it displaced the alphabetical keyboard and put over 50 typewriter companies out of business. This new interface holds the same threat for smartphones, PDAs, notebooks, ultra portables, and so on. Handheld and mobile devices that do not offer Mobile Users this new level of productivity will sit on store shelves remaining unsold, while manufacturers and service providers who are first to offer this new technology to Mobile Users will become market leaders. http://www.matthewarterouserinterface.com

Years ago I offered Good Technology and those invested in it the technology necessary to push Blackberry and other competitors out of the market. They never looked at it and now they have gotten a low return on investment when they sold to Motorola. My technology is still valid. Below are links to the story.

This one calls it a disapointing exit.

This one says they had a bad model for success.

This one calls it questionable.

Ahh to be in California. Not that life near the coathanger is bad, but we don't get too many oppotunities for fireside chats with Woz!

Tell me when you're involved with an event in San Diego. [Why does it seem like all the tech guys are averse to travelling too far south of Silicon Valley?]

I live out east so I can't attend, but the book looks great ... had never heard of it so now I have something fun to read, thanks!

Y'know, I hadn't realised how much alike Woz and Harry (from Harry and the Hendersons) are alike facially. Spooky!

Pete
(luvs the Woz)

can you please check your RSS feeds. It appears to be messed up.

Guy, could you say Woz a big "thank you" for iWoz, please? And thank you for featuring it here.
