Hey Guy,
As a college student and long-time reader of your blog, I must agree with the other readers who expressed some, might I say, dissatisfaction with the current content of the blog. I understand that you might be somewhat more limited in the amount of advice or whatever that you can provide, but some of these facebook posts are just ridiculous. Come on, Celeb Heads? I've used facebook occasionally since high school to find people I know or just to talk to old friends, and since the advent of the App on facebook I've become somewhat disillusioned. Celeb heads and the like to me are just awful wastes of time. Please don't disappoint everyone by highlighting "Which Vampire are You?" next week.

Dang - do I need to give up my LinkedIn account and start gathering friends on FaceBook?

That was kinda cool. I didn't realize that facebook offered this. I guess that this shows how often I go on there. I am a member of their site but I don't hardly go on there.

I clicked on the blog as it said, how to change the world, yet I have seen nothing here to indicate anything like this.

I have found this man, although he may be taking on more than he can chew, but he is not just talking about changing the world, he is doing it.

It's a tiny little blog, but if you look at each division of his group, he is trying not just to change the world, but tackle it HEAD ON.

Energy companies, governments in Asia, Pedophiles and religious finatics I can see giving him some problems, but if he does change the world to a free green energy and water society, WOW.....

Guy - I have a Facebook app. for you. I'm not associated with them in any way (except as a user). Its called Wakoopa. A small app. runs on your computer and tracks what applications you are using. The Facebook app. shares you top ten apps in your Facebook profile. I think its fascinating and a good way of showing what we like.

Guy,

I don't mind the Facebook attention and the recent posts emphasizing your commitment to Truemors, but my favorite part about your blog of the old days were your top 10 bulleted lists of advice and recommendations. It seems those posts have faded into the distant past, and I am sad to see them go.

I have a feeling most of your readers are entrepreneurial spirits, who like myself, read your blog for inspiration to keep us going through the brutal trenches of building a successful web business. I hate to say it, but I read your blog more as a Sunday church session to keep my business mind in line with the times, and I must echo the other comments saying that your posts do not provide the richness much anymore. Here are some suggestions: instead of just advertisements, how about a bulleted list on the mistakes you made at Truemors or where you feel Facebook should go in the future or why business 2.0 magazine could have done to not fail.

I greatly respect you and almost was able to meet you in Boston (BB World Conference), but was unable to this time. As you steer the millions of readers of this blog towards business success and happiness, we will surely steer you as well.

Sincerely,

Jonathon Lunardi

Jonathon,

I hear what you're saying. Several thoughts: I don't have the backlog of content to work through that I used to. For example, there's nothing more for me to write about concerning how to pitch with PowerPoint. Otherwise, I will be continuing to put out the same advice.

Hence, I do a lot more interviews and guest columns. They are necessary because I certainly don't have a monopoly on wisdom. And I can get to people and get them to do things that most bloggers can't.

As for lessons from Truemors, Garage, etc, I will do that but for me to write the lesson, I first have to have the experience. For example, I have to promote Truemors to learn the lessons of how promotions work today. Unless you want me to just spout off like any other "expert."

One thing you can do is to send me a list of what you'd like me to write about. However, I only write about stuff that I think I understand. :-)

Thanks,

Guy

Isnt that just great. Now MySpace is writing apps for Facebook...

By the way Guy, my idea on Facebook could make viable the true intentions of Linkedin, that 12,000,000 people are over there but nothing do much about linking, except of the first mail to accept the contact and brag about that we have have more than 500.

Guy,
I ve been reading your blogs for quite some time now. But day by day i think the content is getting worse and lots of self publicizing going on. There is nothing wrong with it but you got to be present to certain facts here.

1) This is quite unlike 'Guy Kawasaki' blog or there nothing related to the statement 'How to change the world'.
Homework: Please refer to the content a year back and compare with the last 20 posts.
However, if you are looking at redefining yourself and getting new friends, i take back what i said.

2) Originality of the blog is lost. Lots of interviews.Lots of it.Good ones. But i dont want to come here to read interviews.I might do it elsewhere.

3) Dont get happy about the increased number of hits. Your cult is becoming disempowered
and are losing their passion.

I am sure that you are getting lots of comments like these and you are quite aware of everything i wrote about but i just expressed what i thought.

Thanks,
Arun.PC

Happy Friday Guy,

We are spending a great deal of time talking about Facebook applications. Techcrunch had their top ten list of favorites, then Robert Scoble add his, on favor of the more mature audience. Today you point out this postcard application.

I have a question over Facebook to you (I mean people about our age): Do we really use Facebook?

It seems we are not. The behavior of the use of the applications reveal how infantile is the audience. For example,

1. The 3 most used application on business category are games.
2. The most used application is Top Friend, used to choose 32 of your best friends, with 12,000,000 of users.
3. The second most used applications are around 6,000,0000 users iLike, Fortune Cookie, Slide Show, Video Show, etc.
4. Do you know that Zoho has 2,000 users? I wonder how many really use it.

Having said all of this: Do you have a Facebook account? Do WE have a Facebook account? What do we do when we are logged?

Why don't create a community of people over 30 , at "C" level (or soon to be) at Facebook?

Guy, do not doubt to contact me at Facebook to do this.
