Life Remix

Liferemix.jpeg

I came across a very interesting blog called Life Remix. Actually, the site represents a bunch of bloggers who have banded together to make “enrich people’s lives.”

Here’s an example of the type of articles you’ll find there:

  1. How to Work Like the Masters

  2. Even Simple Multi-tasking Can Make a Project 30% Late

  3. Things Your IT Guy Wants you to Know

  4. Why I started keeping a daily “one-sentence journal” (ok, a not-quite daily journal).

  5. How Does a Bestseller Happen? A Case Study in Hitting #1 on the New York Times

Do check the site out. It’s a rich vein of gold within the mountain of dirt called the blogosphere.

I think it's a useful blog. It gives good advices.

Will take a look, thanks Guy.

Taking about separating the wheat from the chaff, this is a great blog by the James McDonnell Foundation that does that with mainstream science stories:

Hrmm Life Remix, sounds a bit like Life Hacker. Nevertheless, the writeup here is inspiring enough to make me click the link, and now glad that I did. Thanks for sharing these neat tidbits.

I am enjoying the post about the one-sentence journal. It makes sense to do such an activity...things only stay in your short-term memory for so long. I would like to remember some of the great things that loved ones say & the fun activities that life brings. Thank you, for pointing this blog entry out. :-)

Oh...and I am reading your book "The Art of the Start."

Great site! Just added it to my fav's and grabbed a feed. You sure can find em', Guy.

Its heartening to see bloggers collaborating with each other to create a blog. I guess this trend should be welcomed by all.

Guy, I LOVE that line, "rich vein of gold within a mountain of dirt." Did you come up with it? Mary

Thanks. I try...I am, supposedly, a professional writer after all.
:-)

Guy

Hey, thanks for the writeup Guy! We're very pleased with the initial launch, and plan on doing an even better job in the future of separating the blogosphere's wheat from the chaff ;)

Knock 'em dead. All the best to you. Here is to fewer dumb little men in the world...

Guy

I think LifeHacker is way way better than any of the LifeRemix blogs.

Thanks for weeding through the mountain of dirt for the rest of us. Maybe someone out there can develope a "dirt-weeder" program? Then again, they say that, "One person's trash is another's gold."
